Vintage Collages

These are illustrations of famous paintings I was inspired by, Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol and the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. I took the basic image of these pieces and translated it into my own style, changing various parts dramatically. The medium used is inks and subtle watercolour hues. The aim was to execute quick, loose illustrations that portrayed my imagination as an artist. The vintage collage pieces my brief was to produce a brainstorm of prints aimed at men for mens clothing. For these pieces I used magazine tear outs, my own illustrations and the use of tea to create an old paper effect. In addition to different typography and as the focus of each print women to depict a young males sexual imagination.
