My name is Kendall Milano and I am a 2013 graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art. While at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, I studied under Professor Bob Chance in the Ceramics Department.

I spent the summers of 2010 and 2011 working for North Carolina potter, David Vorhees, as the Head of the Ceramics Department for Camp Greystone in Tuxedo, North Carolina. As the Head of the Ceramics Department I developed project plans and prepared clay and glazes for up to 300 campers. This previous summer thru spring I worked at the Greenville County Museum of Art in Greenville, South Carolina where I was the Intern for the Center of Museum Education as well as the Curatorial Staff. I assisted various art teachers and art classes as well as organized supplies and prepared four different studios for daily use. In addition I assisted the Curatorial Staff in various show openings throughout the year.

My work has been displayed in shows in Italy, Georgia, and South Carolina. I am interested in wheel thrown functional pottery as wheel as wheel thrown and altered sculptural pottery. I primarily work on the wheel however I am continuously interested in learning different techniques for creating ceramic forms and glazing them. I have a strong work ethic, an eagerness to learn, and an open mind.

I am interested in work that requires creativity as well as a love for art. If you are interested in purchasing artwork or hire please contact me by email at kendallmilano@gmail.com.
