Small multi-purpose building - Architectural Project Course of Architectural Composition 2 & Buildings' Technology About Luca Magliozzi
This work involved the project of a small multi-purpose building, containing facilities such as nursery, recreation centre and conference room, and located in a courtyard between tall buildings. The structure is developed on one floor with a roof garden to have a low visual impact. The façade is fully glazed, with a pattern based on a painting by Piet Mondrian. Within another course I had the opportunity to study the structural and construction details of the building. I developed the roof garden and façade in detail, defining also the structural elements, such as reinforced concrete vertical walls and curved steel beams.
