This project is my reaction to the documentary "Home" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film shows how human sprawl over our planet is destroying entire eco-systems. My gut reaction to the film, was a hope that nature would reclaim what is rightfully hers.

This image was meant to be a literal representation of the effect of war on humanity. While the concept is fairly simple, the vivid image treatment evokes a strong emotional reaction. Visit ryanwrightdesign.com for a more in-depth look.

This is Ben Bernanke, current chairman of the highly unconstitutional Federal Reserve. To enslave a nation's people in never ending debt takes a certain kind of person. I wanted to portray Mr. Bernanke through that lens.

This project is a merging of two different styles of imagery. The lines that compose the woman's head were traced from the photograph, styled in Illustrator, and then brought into Photoshop as paths.

This project was an attempt to merge the fantasy world of one of my favorite video games, with the real world. The image was taken in Muir Woods (north of San Francisco).

This project was very daunting. It was the first time I had been the subject of a photo shoot and it was challenging to get the shots I was looking for. From 80 shots I selected four of the best to use in this scene.

In this scene, I placed the tiger uncomfortably close to the camera in order to confront the viewer. If you were able to stand your ground facing a tiger, you would truly be fearless and possibly a bit foolish.

This was a complex illustration involving many different elements. At first I tried to create much of this without a visual reference. Eventually though, it made more sense to make a crude mockup in Photoshop to paint over.
