Color Theory

Color theory was an assignment where we had to choose an image from a magazine, trace it onto a canvas, every shade and shape and repaint it suing the same colors from the image. So really we just had to re do the image but instead using paint. The two mediums used for this assignment was paint and pencil. The main element of the art that I focused on was color and creating the right one, if it wasn't the right way then this would ruin the whole image, especially with mine. Also if I did not trace the right shade somewhere then I would have to create that on my own, which was especially difficult. The whole bottom part of the painting was not traced and I had to create all the shading and shape on my own, and had to match it up as close as possible to the original, to get the perfect result in the end. I chose this particular assignment because it was a challenge and something I was willing to take on, it was tedious and long but I was satisfied with the end result. With this particular piece I would just like the observer to get as much of the movement of the image as possible, this is main part of the painting after all. I am definitely proud of this work however I still believe it could be better, maybe a little bit cleaner perhaps.
