I was always good at drawing which served me well during a turbulent childhood. As a shy kid I loved 90’s cartoons, music and films of all genres. I idolised artists like Bruce Lee and Bob Marley admiring how even in death one can still be a positive influence on the world, I wanted to do the same. I decided to take art seriously after completing my G.C.S.E’s going onto study Art & Design and photography at Brentside Arts College for 3 years. After completing the course I took a year out then enrolled at Thames Valley University (UK) graduating from Ba Hons Digital Art with Animation. I have been dedicated to developing my portfolio and stepping outside of my creative box ever since. I have freelanced for a small TV producer and design store AD clothing and produced specially commissioned portrait art. I have also created a personal and commercial identity through emblem iconography stretching over various formats. I’m now a part-time freelance/commission creative artist & animator.
I’ve been involved in the art, photography and film scene over a number of years, my achievements include winning finalist in the 2006 Nationwide Mercury Prize art competition, Bronze medallist in the UK Skills art advanced Challenge 2007 and best film poster winner in the Odeon Short Film competition 2009. In 2010 a selection of my artwork was published for the first time in hardcover book ’Virtuoso showcasing talented artists from around the world.’ In 2012 I created work for London Bus-Tops, a collaborative public art installation project spanning 20 London boroughs to form part of London’s cultural Olympiad for the 2012 Olympic Games. I’ve exhibited widely around the UK including The National Film Theatre in London, The Trocadero in London, The Hospital Gallery in Covent Garden, Light House Gallery in Wolverhampton, Pitshanger Manor Gallery in Ealing and Ada street gallery in Bethnal Green, London.
As an artist I have reached a creative turning point in my life and plan on making original pieces for the rest of my days. I want my work to touch elements that have never been touched on before. My ambition is to move into the creative industry and push my creativity even further.
