How Much Time is Needed to Meditate as a Beginner?

Medium Length Meditation 20-30 minutes

If you have more than a few minutes to disconnect, a medium-length meditation of 20 to 30 minutes can be ideal to go a little deeper into it, with 20-30 minutes you can work on some intermediate meditations, and can intensify your deep focus and energy recharge. I personally like medium length meditation because I don’t feel like I’m in a rush to connect with my inner self and thoughts. I can spend more time to get into the right vibration frequency and deepen my concentration. I also find it not that hard to fit 20-30 minutes into my day, I mean, sure it’s not as easy as squeezing in 5-10 minutes, but medium length meditation doesn’t take that much time and I personally feel like it helps me relax a lot more than short sessions. I wouldn’t try it during a short middle of my work day break, but at home it’s easy to find the time and space to disconnect for more than 5-10 minutes.

Long Meditation 40 minutes and up

If you can commit to taking more time to practice mediation, and are ready for more advanced sessions, advanced meditation practitioners often find that long meditation sessions are the most beneficial. During a long meditation session, the mind has a chance to truly settle into a state of peacefulness and stillness. This can be difficult to achieve during shorter sessions, as the mind is more likely to be distracted by thoughts and sensations. In addition, long meditation sessions allow the practitioner to go deeper into their practice, exploring different layers of consciousness. As a result, long meditation sessions could vr the most effective way to reap the full benefits of the practice if you want to fully immerse yourself into a meditative state. However, if you have trouble concentrating for long periods of time, I recommend starting out with short sessions and working your way up to longer sessions as you get more comfortable and used to it.
